About the Role

In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the future of artificial intelligence and media analysis.

Your main responsibility will be to review short-form video media and classify the language present in both spoken audio and on-screen text. By validating content within your native locale, you will generate high-quality "ground truth" data.

What You'll Do

• Media Evaluation: Watch and analyze short-form video clips to identify all languages present.
• Locale Validation: Verify and validate that the media content aligns with your specific target locale (e.g., an annotator based in Germany validating that the media is authentic to the Marathi [India] linguistic and cultural context).
• Data Labeling: Generate highly accurate ground truth labels using our internal classification tools according to strict project guidelines.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure high data quality and consistency to meet the standards required for training automated machine learning models.

What we're looking for:

• Must be currently living in India.
• Native-level written and spoken fluency in Marathi.
• Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection and a secure personal computer/laptop.
• Ability to strictly follow detailed photography and data entry guidelines.
• (Preferred but not required) Previous experience in data annotation, content moderation, translation, transcription, or linguistic QA is a strong asset.

RWS is seeking Image Collection Specialists based in Russia to participate in a large-scale data collection project. In this role, you will collect and submit high-quality, real-world images of everyday items, documents, and environmental signs using our proprietary mobile tool. Your contributions will directly improve OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technologies and multimodal AI models. Job Type: Freelance Location: Russia (work from home) Work Schedule: Part-time - 10+ hours per week. Flexible - work whenever you want. Start Date: Immediately Duration: TBC Rate: 6 USD per hour What You'll Do Image Collection: Locate and capture real-world, original photos across 14 predefined everyday and enterprise categories. Category Coverage: Your collection will span diverse categories, including: Commercial/Daily Life: Price tags, small menus, product labels, receipts, and warning signs (on packaging, food, etc.). Environmental: Signs, billboards, and bus stop boards. Business/Technical: Documents (reports, investor materials), forms, memos & notes, notices, graphs (pie charts, bar charts), and workflows/figures. Metadata/Annotation (Potential): Future project phases may require adding basic captions or performing simple OCR transcriptions of the captured text. What we're looking for: Must be currently living in Russia. Native-level written and spoken fluency in Russian. Access to a smartphone with a high-quality camera and a stable internet connection. Ability to strictly follow detailed photography and data entry guidelines.   Important Banking Eligibility: Due to current international banking restrictions, all candidates based in sanctioned regions must have a bank account registered in a country outside sanctioned regions to receive international payments.
