Assistant Manager

About the Role

As an Assistant Manager – PPC, you will play a key role in planning, scheduling, and controlling production activities for our solar module manufacturing unit. You will ensure smooth material flow, optimum capacity utilization, and timely delivery of products while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Prepare and monitor short-term & long-term production plans aligned with business forecasts.
🔹 Develop Master Production Schedule (MPS) and ensure timely execution on the shop floor.
🔹 Coordinate with procurement, stores, and supply chain to ensure material availability.
🔹 Track daily production, WIP (Work in Progress), and output against plan.
🔹 Conduct capacity planning, manpower deployment, and machine utilization analysis.
🔹 Work with quality & maintenance teams to reduce downtime and production losses.
🔹 Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process optimization initiatives.
🔹 Analyze variances between planned vs. actual output and take corrective actions.
🔹 Ensure adherence to ISO, safety, and quality standards in PPC operations.
🔹 Prepare periodic MIS reports for management review.

Skills & Competencies

✅ Strong knowledge of PPC in Solar / Electronics / Continuous Manufacturing
✅ Hands-on experience in ERP / SAP / Advanced Planning Tools
✅ Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
✅ Ability to lead and coordinate across multiple functions
✅ Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills

Education & Qualification

🎓 B.Tech / M.Tech – Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering
🎓 MBA / PGDM in Operations / Supply Chain (preferred)
