Description
As a Cloud Solution Engineer, you will be the key technical partner and trusted advisor for our customers. Your mission is to guide them through their cloud security and compliance challenges, helping them build secure and resilient environments. You will be the bridge between their technical reality and the streamlined compliance offered by the Scrut platform. ResponsibilitiesLead Cloud Architecture Reviews: Proactively engage with customers to lead comprehensive reviews of their cloud environmentsTranslate Technical Gaps into Compliance Actions: Analyse findings from architectural reviews and translate them into a clear, actionable remediation plan. Critically, you will map these technical remediation steps directly to the specific controls required for compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.Provide Hands-On Technical Guidance: Partner directly with customer's Engineering and DevOps teams. You won't just identify problems; you will provide expert, hands-on guidance on how to fix them, offering best practices for implementing security controls, IAM policies, network configurations, and data protection strategies etc.Champion the Scrut Platform: Act as the technical champion for our product. You will demonstrate to customers how to leverage the Scrut platform to automate evidence collection and continuously monitor their newly hardened cloud posture, proving their compliance status in real-time.Product & Engineering Collaboration: Act as the voice of the customer internally. Channel real-world feedback and technical challenges from customer engagements to our Product and Engineering teams, helping to shape the product roadmap and improve platform capabilities.Develop Technical Content: Create and maintain a library of reference architectures, best practice guides, and technical documentation that helps scale our ability to guide customers effectively.Serve as a Trusted Advisor: Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders, from individual engineers to the Leadership Team, establishing yourself as their go-to expert for cloud security and compliance.
Eligibility Criteria
3-5+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as a Solution Architect, Cloud Consultant, Security Architect, or a similar position at a cloud-native company or consulting firm. Deep Cloud Expertise: Demonstrable, hands-on experience across Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). You should be able to lead technical discussions on these services with confidence. Proven Architectural Review Experience: Verifiable experience conducting AWS Architecture Reviews or similar cloud architecture and security assessments. You should be intimately familiar with the principles of the framework. Exceptional Customer-Facing Skills: A genuine passion for making customers successful. You must be an excellent communicator, capable of building trust and articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Problem-Solver Mindset: You are a natural problem-solver who can think on your feet and enjoys the challenge of navigating complex customer environments. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is preferred.
