Location and Environment

This role is open to candidates across India. For those located in Mumbai, we offer an in-office experience with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid work model after initial training and a strong performance record. We believe in the power of in-person collaboration, especially for new team members, as it helps build strong foundational knowledge and connections.

For candidates outside of Mumbai, this is a remote-first position that allows you to work from anywhere in India. We also value in-person collaboration and may bring the team together for important events like onboarding, product training, and strategic workshops.

About the Role

We are looking for an Android Developer with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience building modern, scalable, and high-performing mobile applications. You will take ownership of feature development, UI/UX implementation, app optimization, and ensuring smooth user experiences across a variety of Android devices.

What You'll Do

• Develop, enhance, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.
• Build clean, modular components using MVVM and modern Android best practices.
• Work extensively with Jetpack libraries including Compose, Coroutines/Flow, Navigation, WorkManager, Room, etc.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, push notifications, background services, and offline data flows.
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to deliver seamless mobile experiences.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize app memory, network usage, and responsiveness.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and writing maintainable code.
• Contribute to the Play Store release cycle, versioning, and rollouts.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Strong command over Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack components.

Experience building real-world apps with:

• Jetpack Compose or XML UI
• Coroutines & Flow
• API integration (Retrofit/OkHttp)
• Local data storage (Room / DataStore)
• Understanding of app lifecycle, state management, dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger/Koin), and modular codebases.
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.

Bonus Points (Nice to Have)

• Experience with Flutter, React Native, or hybrid frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise).
• Experience working with WebKit or automation workflows.
