Assistant Manager - Production

To lead and manage production activities for Column Pipe, PVC Pipe, and CPVC Pipe manufacturing, ensuring achievement of production targets with consistent quality, safety, and efficiency. The role involves optimizing resources, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Manage day-to-day production operations of Column Pipe, PVC, and CPVC pipe manufacturing. Plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to meet targets, quality, and delivery timelines. Ensure adherence to process parameters, product specifications, and industry standards (ISO/IS codes). Implement and monitor quality control measures to minimize rejection and improve product reliability. Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S) to enhance efficiency and reduce cost. Coordinate with maintenance, design, quality, and stores for smooth shop floor functioning. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards. Train and guide workforce for skill development and productivity enhancement. Analyze production data, prepare daily/monthly MIS reports, and suggest improvements. Monitor raw material utilization and reduce wastage. Support new product trials, process optimization, and technology upgradation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvements and customer satisfaction.

Graduate in any stream. Strong knowledge of PVC/CPVC/Column Pipe extrusion and processing. Experience in pipe manufacturing operations, production planning, and quality assurance. Familiarity with extrusion machines, downstream equipment, and tooling. Knowledge of IS standards related to PVC/CPVC pipes & fittings. Ability to handle manpower and shop floor operations effectively. Analytical and problem-solving skills with exposure to root cause analysis. Good understanding of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S implementation. Proficiency in MS Office / SAP / ERP systems for reporting and planning.
