Requirements

Must have:

• Windows - AD, DHCP,DC
• Virtualization - VMWare - Vcenter
• Windows Upgrade
• Powershell
• Patching SCCM, WSUS
• Configuration Changes: Harden servers based on best practices (using guides like CIS Benchmarks).
• Guided Software Upgrades in collaboration with SW Vendor Support: If certain software versions are vulnerable, consider upgrading to a more secure version.
• Remediation Records: Document the vulnerability, the action taken, the date of action, and any other pertinent details.
• Compensating Controls or Exceptions: If a vulnerability cannot be direct-ly addressed, consider compensating controls like a Web Application Fire-wall (WAF), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), or additional monitoring.
• Understanding of NTFS and File Server permissions
