Manager – Technical Operations & QC, Regional
Location: Hyderabad**| Function:** Technical Operations | Reports to: Senior Manager - Consumer Research & Insights, Regional
Purpose
This role will be responsible for ensuring all content delivered for broadcast meets the required technical and quality standards. The role involves reviewing content for compliance with audio, video, subtitle, and format requirements before final transmission or platform delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Design workflows for various deliverables in order to ensure effective operations

Design the infrastructure as per the requirement

Oversee delivery by ensuring technical and quality checks are done as per plan before sending the content to Singapore

Oversee effective resourcing, facility, and equipment management to ensure continuous and smooth operations.

Perform technical quality checks on all incoming and outgoing video content prior to broadcast / playout.

Review files for:

Video quality

Audio sync and levels
-
Aspect ratio
-
Frame rate
-
Resolution
-
Subtitle/caption accuracy
-
Graphic/text errors
-
Content completeness
-
Identify and report technical defects such as glitches, black frames, freeze frames, audio dropouts, or file corruption.

Coordinate with internal teams such as ingest, promo, graphics, post-production, scheduling, and transmission to resolve QC issues.

Ensure content is compliant with channel/platform technical specifications.

Maintain QC logs, issue trackers, and quality documentation.

Support urgent troubleshooting for time-sensitive broadcast content.

Ensure adherence to broadcast delivery timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Library, Media management and digitisation
- Create workflows for archiving various types of content
- Draft and execute plans for enhancement in Media Management technology
- Drive digitisation of library content
- Oversee management of library content and ensure all content that comes in and goes out is stored and organised in the Library Management Software

Technical Competencies
- Good understanding of broadcast technical standards and video file formats.
- Familiarity with QC tools, media asset systems, playout systems, or broadcast workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and in a high-pressure broadcast environment.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends/holidays if required.
- Knowledge of codecs, wrappers, and file delivery standards.
- Experience in television, OTT, or media broadcast environment.
- Understanding of regional content workflows is an added advantage.
