Data Analyst

Overall Function:
You will be responsible for supporting the Chief Science Officer (CSO) in leveraging state-of-the-science models to develop climate / ESG assessment modules and decision-making tools. You will be tasked with performing independent research to answer the qualitative and quantitative questions that are necessary to build accurate and useful modeling tools for our platform. The role will involve a substantial amount of data aggregation, processing, and analysis. Experienced candidates will be tasked with more sophisticated modeling assignments. You will be part of a quickly growing team that values independent thought and innovation. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement standalone scripts and engineered systems to sanitize, structure, analyze, and present diverse data.
• Support the development of the sustainability models that drive our platform.
• Contribute to research and develop data pipelines.
• Apply a knowledge of mathematics, statistics, scientific programming, machine learning, data modeling, software development, and sector-specific knowledge to develop science-based tools that provide clients with key insights
• Evaluate different models, algorithms, and methodologies for data extraction and manipulation.

Requirements:

• Scientific scripting (Python, R, etc.), data mining, data engineering, and data visualisation skills.
• Strong understanding of applied statistics and common data science methods.
• Experience with machine learning and advanced regression techniques is preferred.
• Previous experience building out data-science pipelines and completing complex data-heavy projects that involve large datasets of diverse data.
• Bachelor's or Master's in scientific or engineering discipline is preferred.
