Overall Function:
You will work on projects that lead to direct improvements in the granularity and fidelity of our ESG / climate models. You will apply statistical models, design and interpret data experiments, build mission-critical dashboards, and help structure and order our data in the pursuit of best-in-class performance. The role will involve data aggregation, assimilation and exploratory analysis - identifying and visualizing trends, building validated models and improving our platform's performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement standalone scripts and engineered systems to sanitize, structure, analyze, and present diverse data.
- Work on the development of key data / sustainability models that drive our platform.
- Develop / maintain key data pipelines.
- Apply a knowledge of mathematics, statistics, scientific programming, machine learning, data modeling and software development to develop science-based tools that provide clients with key insights
- Evaluate different models, algorithms, and methodologies for data extraction and manipulation.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in a data-science role
- Advanced scientific scripting (Python, R, etc.), data mining, data engineering, and data visualisation skills.
- Strong understanding of applied statistics and common data science methods.
- Experience with machine learning and advanced regression techniques is preferred.
- Previous experience building out data-science pipelines and completing complex data-heavy projects that involve large datasets of diverse data.
- Master's in scientific or engineering discipline preferred.
- Experience with Climate / ESG-related data highly preferred
