Assistant Manager- CNC- Kota

Assistant Manager, Factory Operations (CNC) reports to the Manager. Responsibilities include:

1. Design & Engineering Support: Lead and support the design of components, and tooling using CAD software such as ZWCAD, SolidWorks, Rhyno, Review customer drawings and specifications to ensure manufacturability (DFM). Optimize designs for cost, quality, and machining efficiency. Prepare detailed technical drawings for production. Coordinate design modifications based on production feedback and customer requirements.

2. CNC Programming & Machining Oversight: Develop, review, and optimize CNC programs - Milling/Turning/VMC/Waterjet/WireProfiler. Ensure proper selection of tools, cutting parameters, and machining strategies. Supervise machine setup, prove-out, and first-off trials. Troubleshoot machining issues related to programs, tooling, and process parameters. Improve cycle times and reduce rework through process optimization.

3. Production Management: Assist in planning and executing daily production schedules. Monitor machine utilization and operator efficiency. Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards. Coordinate with planning, quality, and maintenance teams.

4. Quality & Process Control: Ensure adherence to drawing specifications and quality standards. Lead root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective actions. Oversee first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks. Maintain compliance with ISO/industry standards.

5. Team Leadership & Technical Guidance: Guide CNC operators, programmers, and design engineers. Provide hands-on technical support in both design and machining. Conduct training sessions to enhance team skill levels. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

6. Tooling & Fixture Development: Design and develop fixtures, jigs, and special tooling for productivity enhancement. Monitor tool life and recommend cost-effective tooling solutions. Collaborate with vendors for tooling procurement and technical support.

7. Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization: Implement lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives. Reduce material wastage and machining time. Identify automation opportunities in design and machining processes.

8. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain design revisions, CNC program records, and process sheets. Prepare production, efficiency, and quality reports. Present technical updates and improvement plans to senior management.

9. Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
