System Engineer (Web)

We seek candidates who have the following experience:

Proven experience (1+ years) as a System Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Backend Engineer or in a similar role focused on web infrastructure.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

Hands-on experience with web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx), databases (e.g.,MySQL, MongoDB), and load balancers.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

● Infrastructure Design & Implementation:

Plan, configure, and optimize systems for web hosting, databases, load balancers, and

network architecture to ensure high availability and performance.

● Server Management:

Configure and maintain web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx), ensuring their optimal

performance and reliability.

● Automation & Scripting:

Automate repetitive system administration tasks using scripting languages such as

Python, Bash, or PowerShell to enhance operational efficiency.

● Monitoring & Performance Tuning:

Continuously monitor system performance, addressing issues related to traffic, database

optimization, and response times. Implement proactive measures to ensure maximum

uptime.

● Security: Implement robust security measures such as SSL/TLS, firewalls, and software updates

to safeguard web services. Additionally, integrate custom encryption layers on top of

SSL/TLS to further enhance data protection.

● Collaboration with Development Teams:

Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment processes and manage

continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

● Cloud Services:

Leverage cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to host, manage, and scale

web services, with a particular focus on AWS infrastructure.

● Backup & Disaster Recovery:

Design and implement reliable backup solutions and disaster recovery mechanisms to

ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures.

● Troubleshooting and Support:

Troubleshoot issues related to web systems, including server, network, and applicationlevel

problems.

Provide technical support to developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to

resolve issues effectively.

Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventative measures.

Key Requirements:

● Programming Skills:

Proficiency in coding with Rust, particularly using REST frameworks like Actix or Axum.

Experience with gRPC is highly appreciated.

● System Design Expertise:

Strong understanding of system design concepts, including the ability to implement load

balancers, cache stores, and message queues.

● Testing and Validation:

Meticulous approach to writing integration tests to ensure the reliability and functionality

of web systems.

Qualifications:

■ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or

related field (or equivalent experience).
