Incharge - NCU Plant Production

To lead end-to-end manufacturing operations of the Nacelle Cover production facility by ensuring achievement of production targets, quality standards, cost objectives, safety requirements, productivity improvements, and delivery commitments. The role is responsible for driving operational excellence through efficient utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and processes while supporting business growth and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Production Management Lead overall production activities for Nacelle Cover manufacturing including moulding, assembly, finishing, painting, trimming, and dispatch operations. Develop and execute production plans in line with business requirements and customer delivery schedules. Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are achieved with optimum resource utilization. Monitor manufacturing KPIs and implement corrective actions to eliminate bottlenecks. Drive production capacity enhancement initiatives to support future business demand. Operational Excellence Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the plant. Identify productivity improvement opportunities and implement cost reduction projects. Enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through systematic improvement initiatives. Standardize manufacturing processes and ensure adherence to SOPs and work instructions. Lead digitization and automation initiatives for operational efficiency. Quality Management Ensure production processes consistently meet customer, engineering, and quality requirements. Coordinate with Quality and Engineering teams to address process deviations and customer complaints. Drive First Pass Yield improvement and reduction in rework, rejection, and scrap levels. Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions arising from audits and quality reviews. Safety, Health & Environment Establish and maintain a strong safety culture within the manufacturing facility. Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, and company safety requirements. Conduct regular safety reviews, risk assessments, and closure of identified actions. Achieve zero major safety incidents through proactive intervention and employee engagement. Team Leadership & People Management Lead and develop production managers, engineers, supervisors, and shop floor associates. Drive performance management, capability development, and succession planning initiatives. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, employee engagement, and continuous learning. Ensure adequate manpower planning and deployment across shifts. Cost & Budget Management Manage departmental budgets and manufacturing costs. Drive initiatives for material utilization improvement and reduction in wastage. Monitor production expenses and ensure adherence to approved budgets. Support localization, value engineering, and cost optimization projects. Stakeholder Management Collaborate with Planning, SCM, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, and HR teams for seamless plant operations. Participate in customer audits, management reviews, and business performance meetings. Support new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing readiness activities.
