Job Description: Maintenance Executive Department: Maintenance Location: Control Panel Manufacturing Unit (Wind Turbine Generator Manufacturing) Reports To: Maintenance In-Charge / Plant Head Job Purpose To ensure maximum availability, reliability, and efficiency of production equipment, testing systems, utilities, and plant infrastructure used in the manufacturing of Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Control Panels through effective preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and equipment. Ensure optimum availability of machines used in busbar preparation, enclosure assembly, wiring, testing, and final assembly operations. Reduce machine downtime through effective maintenance planning and execution. Maintain machine history cards and maintenance records. Electrical Maintenance Maintain electrical panels, power distribution systems, compressors, lighting systems, and utility equipment. Troubleshoot electrical faults in production and testing equipment. Ensure safe operation of electrical systems and compliance with electrical safety requirements. Monitor condition of electrical installations and recommend improvements. Mechanical Maintenance Conduct maintenance of fabrication tools, busbar bending machines, punching machines, tapping machines, compressors, material handling equipment, and other mechanical systems. Carry out alignment, lubrication, and replacement of mechanical components. Ensure smooth functioning of production support equipment. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment and utilities. Monitor maintenance performance and adherence to maintenance plans. Identify potential failures and implement predictive maintenance techniques. Optimize maintenance intervals based on equipment performance. Utility Management Monitor and maintain plant utilities including: Air Compressors DG Sets UPS Systems Air Conditioning Systems Electrical Distribution Systems Lighting Systems Water Supply Systems Ensure uninterrupted availability of utilities for manufacturing operations. Spare Parts Management Maintain critical spare parts inventory for production equipment and utilities. Coordinate with Stores and Procurement for spare procurement and replenishment. Monitor spare consumption and optimize inventory levels. Ensure availability of emergency spares for critical machines. Breakdown Analysis Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Conduct root cause analysis for recurring breakdowns. Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment reliability. Maintain breakdown reports and trend analysis. Calibration & Testing Support Support calibration of measuring and testing equipment in coordination with Quality Department. Ensure testing equipment and jigs are maintained in proper working condition. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Safety & Compliance Follow EHS requirements during maintenance activities. Ensure Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures are implemented during maintenance work. Maintain compliance with statutory, electrical, and safety regulations. Participate in safety audits and risk assessments. Continuous Improvement Drive initiatives to improve machine reliability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Support Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and 5S activities. Identify opportunities for automation and maintenance cost reduction. Recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements. Experience in electrical control panels, switchgear, automation systems, testing equipment, or industrial manufacturing plants preferred. Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance systems. Familiarity with TPM, OEE, and maintenance planning techniques. Exposure to ERP/SAP maintenance transactions preferred.
