Team Member- NPD Engineering (Civil)

Education

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering

Requirement

• Knowledge of Relevant Codes and Standards: Proficiency in national and international structural design codes, such as IS (Indian Standards), Eurocode,   and other applicable industry standards, ensuring designs meet rigorous safety and quality requirements.

• Advanced Use of Structural Design Software: Proficiency in essential structural analysis and design software such as STAAD Pro, RFEM,  is required for modeling, analyzing complex structures.

Role Details

1. Structural Design and Analysis

• Perform structural analysis and design foundations for Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) and auxiliary structures ensuring stability, safety, and compliance
• Carry out detailed structural calculations using tools such as Dlubal RFEM, STAAD, and ANSYS; collaborate with CAD teams on project deliverables
• Design RCC, steel, and deep foundation structures, including retrofit solutions for existing structures
• Prepare detailed design sheets in Excel and validate designs through engineering software

2. New Product Development & Project Technical Support

• Provide end-to-end support across the product development lifecycle, including prototype construction and defect liability period
• Assess geotechnical requirements and site-specific conditions for foundation design and ground improvement solutions
• Develop customized foundation designs for various site conditions
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery in terms of safety, buildability, quality, and cost efficiency

3. Technical Documentation

• Prepare and maintain technical documents such as design basis reports and certification documents
• Clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ensure regular updates and version control of all engineering documentation

4. Certification and Compliance

• Coordinate with certification bodies to obtain approvals for designs and drawings
• Ensure compliance with national and international codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Identify compliance requirements during project conceptualization and prepare certification basis and safety assessments
• Stay updated with evolving standards and communicate changes to stakeholders

5. Root Cause Analysis, Retrofitting & Support

• Lead investigations into structural failures and perform root cause analysis
• Develop and implement retrofitting and repair solutions to enhance structural performance
• Prepare detailed reports on failure analysis and corrective actions

6. Cost Optimization and Innovation

• Implement innovative design approaches to optimize cost, efficiency, and structural integrity
• Lead value engineering initiatives within design elements
• Participate in prototype development and testing for concept validation
• Apply knowledge of supply chain practices and manufacturing processes

7. Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, project management, and vendors
• Ensure effective coordination across all project phases for timely and successful delivery
