Software Engineer- Java & Database Developer

About The Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer I who is passionate about solving complex problems, writing clean code, and delivering reliable, scalable software.
 This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys learning new technologies while maintaining focus on quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications in alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for data handling across multiple database platforms.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues independently; perform root cause analysis and propose effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical deliverables.
• Ensure high quality through self-testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in multiple ongoing projects, ensuring timely delivery and maintainability of code.
• Continuously identify areas for improvement in code, process, and system performance.

Technical Skills

• Core Java
• SQL (Oracle / PostgreSQL / MS SQL)
• PL/SQL or T-SQL
• Python (preferred for automation or data processing)
• AWS (exposure preferred)
• GraphQL (basic understanding a plus)
• Familiarity with large-scale or complex data environments
• Version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java
• Substantial experience in SQL across major databases
• Working knowledge of PL/SQL / T-SQL / PostgreSQL
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in existing codebases and adapt to new technologies
• Proven collaboration and communication abilities
• Commitment to self-testing and ensuring code quality
• Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset

Optional / Good-to-Have Skills

• Python scripting or automation knowledge
• Exposure to Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
• Familiarity with AWS cloud concepts or deployments
• Experience with GraphQL APIs
• Understanding of Full Stack Development concepts
• Demonstrated interest or projects in AI / ML
• Experience handling large data-intensive systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2 – 4 years of professional experience in software development
• Experience in product-based or technology-driven environments preferred
