Key roles and responsibilities: * Lead all Teardowns analysis for the failed parts coming to the plants with logical conclusions to define the problem with clear facts. * Ensures all metrics management and reporting as per set frequency. * Need to represent Product quality in multiple forums and presenting the overall improvements, updates, with leadership exposure. * Strong teamwork with Customer quality, Engineering, SCM, SQIE functions * Ensure timely analysis for RPH, CPE, PIR study with clear understanding of failure mechanism and failure bucketing. * Weekly PIR study and bucketing on current issues which are being worked under PQC * Failed parts, engine teardown analysis, reports preparation, FPA database management. * Drive critical AIS issues with CFT for faster step 3 and step6 solution * Applies basic knowledge of statistical tools and warranty databases to analyse existing component or system reliability, report the reliability per the customer's reporting requirements, and provide interpretation of the results. * Applies basic knowledge to assigned tasks to provide reliability comparisons and assessments across the Cummins product range and identify and report adverse or favorable trends in current product issues. * Works with current product problem solving teams as well as finance and marketing functions. * Flexibility to travel at customer locations and field visits whenever required on planned or urgent basis. * Plan, perform and lead (if that applies) different QMS audits (QMS, Mfg process audits, product) per ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 and issue OFIs and Non-Conformances as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hands skills on MS Excel with an expert level capability
  • Strong Hands-on experience and good understanding of engine and engine components to ensure required troubleshooting and analysis for faster solutions.
  • Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. Good communication in English (both written and verbal)
  • Product Failure Reporting and Corrective/Preventive Action Systems - Defines and leads a process to record, prioritize, and resolve product failures using cross-functional reviews, rigorous problem solving methods, failed parts transfer processes, data management tools, and project management practices to effectively and efficiently improve the reliability of the product.

  • Quality Process Management - Applies and manages methods (e.g. SPC, Capability studies, Layered Process Audit, inspection, test) to ensure quality of Cummins products, processes, and services. basic Knowledge of ISO and IATF requirements
