Role Description

Key Responsibilities

·       Design and improve mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies

·       Industrialize product/process combinations to ensure production readiness

·       Prepare technical files for prototype manufacturing

·       Create and update technical documentation for production (work instructions)

Main Activities – Design & Development

·       Perform functional analysis based on expressed needs

·       Identify technical solutions (existing or innovative)

·       Select solutions based on technical, cost, and lead time criteria

·       Design 3D mechanical assemblies using CAD software

·       Perform 3D printing to test concepts

·       Produce 2D assembly and detailed drawings

·       Define materials, treatments, tolerances and manufacturing processes

·       Create bill of materials (BOM)

·       Update ERP with design data and archive drawings

Industrialization Activities

·       Assess feasibility of product/process combinations with project constraints

·       Create ERP data (items, routings, BOMs)

·       Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for components

·       Validate drawings according to established procedures

·       Design tooling and define CNC programs

Prototype Development

·       Create 3D models and 2D drawings for prototype components

·       Define tooling and CNC programs

Technical Documentation

·       Create ERP data for spare parts, tooling, and consumables

·       Write quality and technical documentation required for production

Qualifications

·       Basic literacy and numeracy

·       Ability to design 2D drawings and 3D models

·       Knowledge of mechanical design principles

·       Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, cold forming process, cold forming process

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems

·       French : fluent
