Yard Supervisor

Responsible for supervising yard operations, including managing porters, coordinating vehicle loading and dispatch, and ensuring efficient customer service. Maintains cleanliness and order of the yard and supports gate security and check-off duties as required. Supervise the porters working in the yard. Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations Ensure that the drivers and their assigned porters load the vehicles and proceed with the delivery of goods in a timely manner Ensure that customers who enter the yard for the collection of goods are attended to. Overlooks and inspects vehicles daily to ensure that the drivers and operators are in compliance with the rules and regulations. Ensures that all vehicles are licensed and properly insured. Arranges to have vehicles repaired when necessary Ensures that the yard and its surroundings are kept clean, that trees are pruned and the lawn is cut regularly Ensures that garbage is collected regularly Ensures that the safety procedures in the yard are adhered to Serves as part of the gate security team and assumes the role of check-off clerk when necessary.

Must possess five (5) CXC subjects including Mathematics, English, Detail-Oriented and good documentation skills, Strong supervisory and leadership skills, Excellent Teamwork abilities, Excellent communication and organizational skills, Excellent customer service, Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel and use computer applications.
