Tech Lead – MERN

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Backend Solution Architect with a strong foundation in Node.js, exposure to Python, and experience in modern cloud-native architectures. The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure backend systems, while driving innovation with emerging technologies like AI/ML. Deep expertise in AWS services, particularly EKS, ECS, and container orchestration is essential. Key Responsibilities: Architecture Design & Optimization: Design end-to-end backend architecture using Node.js (mandatory), and optionally Python, with microservices and serverless frameworks to ensure scalability, maintainability, and security. Cloud Infrastructure Ownership: Architect and manage AWS-based cloud solutions leveraging services like EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, VPC, IAM, and more. AI/ML Integration (Good to Have): Guide integration of AI and ML components into the backend architecture for intelligent automation and data-driven features. Containerization & Orchestration: Design and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, with a strong preference for experience in AWS ECS and EKS. DevOps & CI/CD: Set up and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc., enabling automated testing, deployment, and monitoring. Database Design & Optimization: Architect and maintain high-performance data storage using PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, including experience with schema design, migrations, and indexing. Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for authentication/authorization (JWT, Cognito, OAuth, SSO, LDAP), data security, IAM policies, code scanning, and cloud compliance. API Architecture & Integration: Develop and scale RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensuring high performance and seamless third-party integrations. Monitoring, Logging & Performance Tuning: Integrate tools like CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, NewRelic, Instana, etc., and drive initiatives for system reliability, load testing, and bottleneck elimination. Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Conduct architectural reviews, code reviews, and mentoring. Collaborate with DevOps, Product, and Frontend teams. Documentation & Governance: Create and maintain architectural blueprints, HLDs/LLDs, and promote knowledge sharing through workshops and documentation.

8+ years of backend development experience with at least 4+ years as a Solution/Technical Architect. Expert in Node.js with frameworks like Express.js, NestJS. Strong experience with AWS services, especially ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB. Proven knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and serverless computing. Strong experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration of high-traffic distributed systems. Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and working with infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform. Deep understanding of authentication/authorization mechanisms and security best practices. Experience with horizontal and vertical scaling, load balancing, and autoscaling strategies. Hands-on experience with API development (REST & GraphQL). Familiarity with unit and integration testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, Chai. Understanding of code quality tools like SonarQube, ESLint, Prettier.
