Description
The Junior Engineer Planning & Project Control plays a critical support role in planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling project activities. The position requires proficiency in project management tools, effective coordination with stakeholders, and the ability to contribute to accurate reporting and risk mitigation strategies. This role is essential to ensure that construction and infrastructure projects remain on track, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities include: Project Planning & Scheduling - Assist in developing and updating project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. Maintain and track project baseline schedules and reflect actual progress from site activities. Analyze project dependencies, resource constraints, and critical paths to prevent delays. Support in creating Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and detailed project phasing plans. Participate in schedule risk analysis and assist in developing mitigation strategies. Monitoring & Reporting - Monitor progress against key milestones, deliverables, and project KPIs. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports with visual dashboards and analytics. Support delay and variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions as required. Maintain accurate records including progress photos, meeting minutes, and site reports. Ensure the integrity and consistency of data used for reporting and decision-making. Cost & Resource Management - Assist in preparing and monitoring resource plans (manpower, material, equipment). Track budgeted versus actual costs, and report any deviations for timely interventions. Contribute to cost forecasting and cash flow projections. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material delivery and availability. Coordination & Communication - Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to align timelines and resolve issues. Participate in project review meetings; assist in presentation preparation and documentation of action points. Communicate updates and highlight risks related to schedule and cost to relevant teams. Ensure all planning activities comply with company policies and contractual requirements. Risk Management & Quality Control - Identify scheduling risks, conflicts, and bottlenecks; propose preventive and corrective measures. Support implementation of quality control and safety practices throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications and standards. Maintain a repository of lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Technical Skills - Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Understanding of project planning principles, construction methodologies, and contract management. Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM), resource leveling, and cost control is an added advantage. Soft Skills - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Good organizational and time management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working in cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines. Eligibility Criteria
Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum 2 years in Premium Residential. Minimum 1 years of experience in ERP.
