Description

The Safety Supervisor is responsible for supporting the execution and enforcement of the organization's safety protocols at project sites. The role includes conducting risk assessments, implementing safety measures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a safe work environment. The Safety Supervisor also plays a key role in emergency preparedness, safety training, and labor camp safety management. Key Responsibilities Safety Program Development and Implementation Assist in the development and implementation of project-specific safety programs and ensure alignment with organizational safety standards. Support the Safety Manager in promoting safety awareness across all levels. Maintain proper documentation of safety procedures and policies, ensuring accessibility for employees. Track and maintain records of Safety Lapses and present findings during weekly safety review meetings. Risk Assessment and Mitigation Conduct routine hazard identification and risk assessments for site activities. Collaborate with site engineers and team leaders to implement mitigation plans and safety protocols. Monitor the effectiveness of safety measures and adjust procedures in response to site conditions or safety incidents. Safety Training and Education Participate in conducting safety training sessions, Toolbox Talks, and awareness workshops for the workforce. Deliver safety induction and orientation for new employees and contract workers. Encourage continuous learning by sharing updated safety regulations and best practices. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight Stay updated with applicable safety regulations, IS codes, and local compliance requirements. Ensure timely maintenance of safety documentation, including safety data sheets (SDS), inspection logs, and training attendance. Prepare for site inspections and audits by maintaining compliance with government and internal safety standards. Incident Investigation and Reporting Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss events to determine root causes and report them promptly. Prepare detailed incident reports including findings, corrective actions, and preventive measures. Ensure effective follow-up of corrective actions until resolution. Safety Audits and Inspections Conduct periodic safety walkthroughs and internal safety audits. Record observations and communicate gaps to concerned teams with a plan of action. Track and monitor implementation of corrective actions post-audit to ensure sustained safety improvements. Emergency Preparedness and Response Assist in developing and maintaining emergency response plans tailored to site conditions. Organize emergency mock drills and ensure team participation and understanding. Verify that emergency procedures are known, posted, and practiced by all workers. Labour Camp Safety and Hygiene Conduct daily inspections of the labour camp to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards. Coordinate fogging, sanitation, and regular cleaning activities. Monitor infrastructure such as lighting, water supply, and drainage systems, ensuring proper functioning. Address and resolve health and hygiene-related complaints promptly.

Eligibility Criteria

Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 2 years in project safety in Residential Buildings Minimum 1 years of experience
