MS SQL Server DBA

We are seeking a skilled MS SQL Server DBA with 3–4 years of experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and production support. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and experience in maintaining SQL Server environments. Knowledge of Snowflake will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexing, and stored procedures.
• Perform database backup, restore, and recovery activities.
• Configure and manage SQL Server Log Shipping.
• Monitor and troubleshoot log shipping synchronization issues.
• Handle database patching, migrations, and deployment activities.
• Monitor SQL Server Agent jobs, replication, and database health.
• Troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, long-running queries, and performance bottlenecks.
• Manage database security, user roles, and permissions.
• Support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
• Work with development and application teams for database-related activities.
• Maintain database documentation and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Good knowledge of:

• Indexing

• SQL Server Agent
• Database Security & Permissions
• Log Shipping
• Replication
• Always On Availability Groups (basic knowledge preferred)

• Experience in troubleshooting production database issues.
• Good understanding of HA/DR concepts.
• Knowledge of Windows Server environment.

Good to Have Skills

• Basic knowledge or exposure to Snowflake.
• Experience in SQL Server to Snowflake migration/support.
• Exposure to Azure cloud environment.
• Scripting or automation knowledge using PowerShell.
