JOB DESCRIPTION
The Workplace Operations Supervisor supports Tesla's non-manufacturing facilities by delivering soft services primarily to engineering teams (as well as sales, service, energy, and G&A). Working closely with the Operations Manager, this role focuses on space management, moves, furniture, storage, and day-to-day workplace operations to keep offices and labs functional and efficient.
Core Focus Areas (aligned with the broader components):
- Workplace & Facility Management: Coordinate small in-office moves and support larger moves; oversee lab/office furniture procurement; conduct space audits; manage storage; assist with space blocking, planning, and utilization.
- Employee Services & Office Administration: Manage the Workplace email alias, track requests via Service Channel, improve end-user experience, and provide responsive operational support.
- Vendor & Service Provider Management (limited scope): Oversee furniture procurement and related coordination.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with the Operations Manager and engineering teams; support data collection and process improvements.
The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They must have strong follow-through, be willing to work flexible hours and assist with physical tasks, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
The Responsibilities:
• Coordinate small in-office moves.
• Support the Workplace team with large office moves.
• Oversee lab and office furniture procurement.
• Assist with the management of the Workplace email alias.
• Track all Workplace requests through Service Channel.
• Conduct office and storage space audits.
• Manage storage spaces for Tesla engineering teams.
• Assist with office space blocking and space planning.
• Develop programs and procedures to improve the end-user experience.
• Assist in lab and office space data collection.
• Manage small lab space projects.
