Description
Sr. Engineer Manufacturing – KGJ, Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day manufacturing operations ensuring uninterrupted production across shifts
- Support process stabilization, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, cycle time optimization, waste reduction)
- Monitor and improve production KPIs such as OEE, Scrap rate, and downtime
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, process controls, and customer requirements
- Maintain existing Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing) systems and identify risk areas to implement new solutions
- Understand and implement SMED to reduce mold changeover time
- Plan and implement Mold TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) to improve equipment reliability
- Standardize parameter setup process to minimize variation and reduce mold change time
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and production teams for smooth operations
- Support new product introduction (NPI), process validation, and line balancing activities
- Lead implementation of standard work, SOPs, and process documentation
- Ensure compliance with EHS and company safety guidelines on shop floor
- Provide technical guidance to operators and junior engineers
Sr. Engineer Manufacturing, Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering / Automobile / Mechatronics
- Upto 8 years of experience in manufacturing/production engineering (automotive preferred)
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, troubleshooting, and process improvement
- Hands-on experience with production line operations and maintenance coordination
- Good understanding of quality tools (8D, A3, SPC, root cause analysis)
- Ability to work in multi-shift operations and manage shop floor challenges
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and team coordination capability
