POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent is expected to join Textron Enterprise Security Operations, Architecture and Maintenance team, and will be responsible for providing operational support to Enterprise-wide leveraged Security tools/processes/services. The role requires an individual to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. He/she will take part in a fast-paced work environment with tasks consisting of troubleshooting, documentation, and strategic technological or process improvements.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• This will be an individual contributor position, and the incumbent will be part of the operations team who will provide technical support to customers through various channels
• Troubleshooting technical issues and providing timely resolution to customers
• Monitoring the health of security tools/automation process and responding to alerts promptly
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues
• Creating and maintaining operational documentation, such as runbook and standard operating procedures
• Working with the software vendor's support team to analyze and deploy vendor solutions to our problems
• Providing On-Call and urgent issue support as required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Formal Education & Certification

Master's degree in information technology or computer science or related fields

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES 

• Cybersecurity Fundamentals: An understanding of the fundamental principles of cybersecurity, including network security, vulnerability management, incident response, and risk management
• Networking: A solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching, is necessary for cyber operations
• Operating Systems: Knowledge of various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and MacOS is important, including their command-line interfaces, file systems, and security features
• Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python/Java, as well as scripting languages such as Bash, and PowerShell, is essential for developing tools and automating tasks
• Malware Analysis: Familiarity with malware analysis techniques and tools is important for detecting and analyzing malicious software
• Cryptography: Understanding encryption algorithms, digital signatures, and other cryptographic techniques is important for protecting sensitive data
• Cyber Threat Intelligence: Familiarity with threat intelligence sources and methods is critical for staying informed about the latest threats and trends
