Description

What Are We Doing?

At The Apprentice Project (TAP), we're building India's boldest bet on education equity — an AI-powered learning buddy that helps thousands of government school students unlock 21st-century skills. We don't just teach coding or financial literacy — we spark self-confidence, creativity, and lifelong curiosity in children who've been told to "stay in their lane."

What You'll Do

Conversation Flow QA

  • Read Figma designs, annotations, and requirements to understand conversation paths, expected behaviour, and changes from the existing flow. Clarify gaps before testing.
  • Create test cases linked to requirements, with prerequisites, test data, steps, and expected outcomes. Cover each branch and completion path.
  • Execute functional, end-to-end, and regression tests on student and teacher journeys. Verify messages, routing, variables, stored responses, and integration outcomes against approved designs.
  • Test invalid inputs, missing or delayed responses, interrupted and restarted journeys, language variations, and integration failures where applicable.

Defect Tracking and Test Completion

  • Log bugs with reproducible steps, expected and actual results, severity, and supporting evidence.
  • Work with developers to resolve defects, retest fixes, and check affected journeys for regressions.
  • Maintain test records and report passed, failed, and blocked cases, coverage gaps, and unresolved defects so the team can make informed release decisions.

Glific Flow Development

  • Build, modify, debug, and maintain Glific flows from approved Figma designs and program requirements.
  • Implement branching, variables, input validations, and connections to existing APIs or webhooks where needed. Support multilingual flows and document changes.

Collaboration and Change Management

  • Work with product, design, curriculum, operations, and program teams to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Assess the impact of flow changes and keep test cases, regression coverage, and flow documentation up to date.
  • Troubleshoot flow issues, identify integration failures, and collaborate with backend developers on issues that require changes to underlying systems.

Who You Are

  • 2+ year of relevant experience, with demonstrated work in both QA and chatbot or workflow development.
  • Practical experience testing conversational flows or branching user journeys, including functional, end-to-end, and regression testing.
  • Ability to interpret Figma designs and annotations, understand flow changes, and identify missing or ambiguous behaviour.
  • Experience independently creating test cases, executing testing, documenting bugs, verifying fixes, and reporting completion.
  • Hands-on development experience in Glific or comparable chatbot, conversational-flow, or workflow-automation platforms, including conditional logic, variables, validation, and data handling.
  • Prior Glific experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates new to Glific should be able to show workflows they have built and debugged, explain their logic, and demonstrate the ability to learn a new flow-building tool.
  • Basic understanding of APIs, webhooks, and JSON, and how integrations affect conversation behaviour and test outcomes.
  • A systematic approach to debugging, clear written communication, and the ability to follow testing and development tasks through to completion.
