Business Accountant

Join The Economist Group, a global media and information-services company. As a Business Accountant, you will support accounting activities across the Group's functions, prepare monthly management accounts, analyze revenue and expenditure, and assist with year-end audit processes. You will work within the Business Accounting team and report to the Manager Business Accounting. The position requires strong attention to detail, effective cross-functional coordination, and a working knowledge of ERP.

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and information for the assigned business function, including revenue, cost, and headcount variance analysis.
• Analyze monthly financial and operational variances, prepare formal commentary on significant trends and drivers, and present conclusions to the FP&A team prior to month-end close.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and financial modeling to support business decision-making and continuous improvements.
