Description
Systems Administrators participate in the delivery of optimally performing software, hardware, and services. They perform system maintenance and provide operational support to various production processes, products, and services across the company through operating systems, servers, infrastructure, and/or storage monitoring and problem resolution when end user or client processes don't meet performance expectations. Roles and Responsibilities: Monitors the daily performance and capacity activity on servers and operating systems and responds quickly to routine alerts. Assists with quickly troubleshooting and the initial triage of events and in a controlled manner; regularly addresses and resolves routine system alerts but typically requires assistance on those of a more complex nature. Manages and executes tasks relating to maintenance, applications, processes, and deployment of a more routine, or less-complex, nature (e.g., O/S upgrades for end of life). May be asked to collaborate with more senior-level staff by performing research, testing, or completing other tasks requested. Performs back-up activities on environments owned by or maintained by Is assigned to and participates in IT projects; executes tasks as assigned under the direction of a project leader to improve the reliability and performance of systems, servers, infrastructure, and storage devices. Initiates upgrades and/or enhancements as directed. Follows all compliance policies and ensures technology remains within compliance standards, maintaining functionality and security. Performs other duties as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
Accredited university, college or trade school education or equivalent training in applicable technology. One (1) to two (2) years of successful, hands-on work experience in relevant technical fields.
