The Market Privacy Officer is a member of the Group Privacy Office, which is part of Group Risk & Compliance and is led by the Group Data Privacy Director. The Group Privacy Office has a strategic role in keeping TMF Group and the local TMF Group entities in good data protection standing, to advise on and monitor data protection compliance and simultaneously support and provide workable solutions for sales, service, and internal support functions.
The Market Privacy Officer (MPO) is a second line of defense role within TMF Group's Group Risk & Compliance function. The role is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the implementation of data protection across TMF Group entities in its market, considering local data protection laws, TMF current privacy policies/program of TMF Group and the guidelines of the Data Privacy Director. The MPO also advises on data protection compliance within the assigned market, in line with applicable local data protection laws and TMF Group's global privacy framework.
The Market Privacy Officer will cover the Eastern European market (14 countries) and will report to the Group Data Privacy Director.
The role is hybrid or onsite.

Providing oversight, review, and advice on:
- Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and privacy contractual arrangements
- Client and third-party due diligence questionnaires

Reviewing and challenging:
- Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
- Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs)

Overseeing personal data incidents, ensuring proper application of breach handling procedures, including:
- Assessment validation
- Regulatory notifications
- Remediation actions

Monitoring the handling of data subject rights requests

Reviewing and advising on email access requests

Providing guidance on the Records of Processing Activities (RoPA)

Supporting and advising first-line teams on a wide range of privacy matters

Escalating material risks, issues, or non-compliance and partnering on remediation plans

Delivering additional second-line privacy oversight activities as required

Where necessary, you will provide hands-on support in complex or high-risk cases, while preserving first-line accountability.

You may also act as a backup for other markets when needed and contribute to Group-level privacy initiatives

Strong interest in data protection and solid knowledge of GDPR or equivalent frameworks

Experience in privacy, risk, or compliance functions

Ability to operate effectively in a second line of defense / oversight role

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge and escalate where needed

Excellent written and spoken English

University degree (Law, Compliance, or related field)

Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365

CIPP/E or equivalent certification would be an asset

Familiarity with OneTrust or similar privacy tools
