Description
The Occupational Therapy Physiotherapy Team (OTPT) works with families of children with developmental disabilities to develop appropriate goals meaningful to the families and their children and implement a treatment plan for the same. The team also conducts various group-based interventions for children with developmental disabilities. Additionally, the OTPT team conducts training programs for caregivers of children, teachers and professionals too. A Junior Occupational Therapist's job profile enables you to become a complete clinician by putting into action all the important concepts you have learnt in your training. You will learn to seamlessly integrate multiple Frames of References (FORs) like biomechanical, Sensory Integration, Developmental, etc along with Child & Family Centered Care principles in your practice. Primary Responsibilities: Undergoing basic training in the above mentioned FORs Conducting assessments Executing intervention plan for the child Monitoring the impact of the intervention with the child & family Developing home program plan Conducting group interventions Working with care team involving professionals from multiple disciplines like Developmental paediatrician, social worker, speech therapist, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, with 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience. Essential Skills & Requirements: Good/ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Good computer skills (MS Word, emails, Teams meeting) Adherence to deadlines and appointments Conversational fluency in Hindi, Marathi, English Prior experience of working with or observing children with developmental disabilities Commitment to Ummeed's values and work
