Pre-Primary Teacher

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate, caring, and creative Pre‐Primary Teacher with 2–4 years of experience to join our early years team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood development and experience creating engaging, play‐based learning experiences aligned with the Cambridge Early Years approach.The teacher will be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where young learners develop confidence, curiosity, communication skills, independence, and a love for learning.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‐appropriate, engaging, and play‐based learning experiences aligned with the Cambridge Early Years framework.
• Develop weekly and daily lesson plans incorporating activity‐based, experiential, and child‐centred learning.
• Support children's development across communication and language, physical development, personal‐social‐emotional development, early mathematics, literacy, creative expression, and understanding of the world.
• Use stories, rhymes, music, art, role play, sensory activities, games, and hands‐on experiences to make learning meaningful.
• Create an attractive, stimulating, and well‐organised classroom environment with appropriate learning resources and displays.
• Observe and assess children's learning and developmental progress through continuous observation and formative assessment.
• Maintain appropriate records of children's progress and use observations to plan differentiated learning experiences.
• Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support and differentiation.
• Encourage children's independence, confidence, problem‐solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Establish positive classroom routines and promote appropriate behaviour through positive reinforcement.
• Ensure the health, safety, safeguarding, and wellbeing of all children at all times.
• Build warm and respectful relationships with children and create an inclusive classroom where every child feels valued.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding children's learning, development, behaviour, and wellbeing.
• Participate in parent meetings, school events, celebrations, workshops, and extracurricular activities.
• Work collaboratively with co‐teachers, teaching assistants, coordinators, and other school staff.
• Integrate age‐appropriate technology and digital resources where they enhance learning.
• Prepare teaching‐learning materials and maintain classroom resources effectively.
• Participate in professional development and continuously improve teaching practices.
• Follow school policies, curriculum guidelines, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards.
