We are seeking an experienced candidate to oversee home visits, conduct anthropometry of children aged 0-5 years and conduct training for AAA on a project projects.
Job Responsibilities: Conducting baseline and end-line surveys for project assessment. Village mapping/Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) for selected Anganwadis. Identification and assessment of undernourished children: Identification, enrolment monthly assessment of Severe Acute Malnourished (SAM) children in the CMAM programme. Provide RUTF to SAM children in consultation with the project manager and healthcare workers. Monthly growth monitoring for all enrolled children in the Anganwadis. Food distribution at the home level of undernourished children on monthly basis and ensure food safety measurements. This will be ensured by training parents on safe food handling and inspection and monitoring at the individual level. Awareness sessions & Home visits: Organize and conduct awareness activities at the Anganwadi with the help of the community. Home visits and counselling of parents of undernourished children on home-based care and nutrition requirements of undernourished children. Monthly meeting with all the stakeholders such as Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, and ANM for capacity building. They will also have to visit PHCs and AWCs for reporting project activities and data collection related to the project. Regular monthly planning and monthly reporting.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in community-based health or nutrition projects preferred. Should be a graduate. Willing to travel extensively to field. Proficient in communicating in English, Marathi, and Hindi. Proficient with MS Office. Basic knowledge of nutrition, maternal and child health.
