We are looking for an HSE Manager, HSE Learning & Engagement, to join Valmet's Global HSE & Supply Sustainability team. In this role, you will be responsible for HSE-related training, competency development, cultural engagement, communication processes, programs, and activities across the organization globally.

This is a key role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental training and competencies are upheld across Valmet and in driving the needed continuous improvement to our HSE culture engagement. As part of our global HSE team, you will play a significant role in achieving world-class HSE performance.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and lead the implementation of global HSE learnings, trainings and competency programs.

  • Ensure legally required HSE training programs are defined and delivered to employees in all countries where Valmet operates.

  • Lead planning and implementation of global quarterly and annual HSE awareness campaigns and other HSE culture and engagement programs and events.

  • Coordinate all HSE training plans across business areas and regions and drive the effective use of Workday Learning for training delivery and recordkeeping.

  • Develop and maintain toolbox talks, HSE topics, and other learning resources that support incident prevention.

  • Develop and maintain Flow HSE Info Center and coordinate the seamless integration of HSE content into other relevant Flow pages and communications.

  • Lead global HSE communication planning and execution, including the development of content for global information screens.

  • Drive the continuous improvement, efficiency, and development of Valmet HSE learning processes utilizing the latest technologies and innovations.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on HSE learning, engagement, and communication related topics.

  • Monitor and analyze HSE learning & engagement performance metrics and trends and report to leadership.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Communications, or Learning & Development.

  • Relevant professional qualifications in HSE, train-the-trainer, coaching, communication, or adult learning, or similar.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in managing HSE training, competency and culture programs, preferably in a global industrial or manufacturing company.

  • Experience developing and implementing HSE learning frameworks and processes in complex, high-risk, or multi-site environments.

  • Working knowledge of e-training tools and digital applications (preferably Workday Learning) and Microsoft 365 tools.

  • Excellent written and spoken English, along with strong communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of other languages is beneficial.

  • To demonstrate the following abilities:

    • Collaborative and influential across functions, different cultures and geographies.

    • Being willing to travel internationally up to 20–30% of the time.
