Assistant General Manager - Commercial

Role Purpose

To lead strategic sourcing, technical-commercial evaluation, supplier development, and supply assurance for all electrical components used in BESS assembly, ensuring cost competitiveness, technical compliance, quality reliability, and uninterrupted supply.

Scope of Coverage – Electrical Components

• Battery Management System (BMS)
• HV & LV Wiring Harness
• Contactors, Relays & Fuses
• MCCB / ACB / Protection Devices
• Busbars (Copper/Aluminium – Electrical Grade)
• Connectors (HV/LV)
• Current & Voltage Sensors
• Power Distribution Units (PDU)
• Terminal Blocks & DC Disconnect Switches
• Control Panels & SCADA Interface Hardware

Key Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategy and execute RFQ process.
• Lead techno-commercial evaluation and supplier nomination.
• Conduct cost benchmarking and should-cost analysis.
• Drive annual cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with Design & R&D during component selection and specification freeze.
• Conduct supplier audits and manage PPAP / FAI approvals.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, UL, BIS and other applicable standards.
• Align supplier capacity with production forecast and ensure OTIF.
• Drive alternate supplier development for risk mitigation.
• Manage supply crisis and coordinate cross-functional resolution.
