Equity Research Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Generate differentiated, high-conviction investment ideas in direct equity stocks through fundamental, bottom-up research across sectors.
• Develop investment theses with a clear view on long-term business quality, risk/reward, key catalysts, and variant perception versus consensus.
• Build and maintain financial models for companies in the portfolio and investment pipeline.
• Analyze various investment proposals across mutual funds and AIF space.
• Monitor the firm's mutual fund investments — tracking performance, portfolio holdings, style and strategy drift, fund manager changes, and risk metrics
• Meet existing and potential companies and fund managers.
• Track the broader coverage universe, monitoring earnings, management commentary, industry data, and macro developments.
• Present and defend investment recommendations to the investment team and the Board.
• Conduct primary research — channel checks, expert calls, management meetings, conference and site visits — to build proprietary insight.
• Maintain ongoing conviction monitoring on existing positions, proactively flagging changes to the thesis, valuation, or risk profile.
• Contribute to a rigorous, debate-driven research culture, sharing ideas across the investment team.
