Job Description:

The Bank Loan Settlements Analyst supports the execution of broadly syndicated loan (BSL) trade settlements across primary and secondary markets. This role is responsible for progressing trades through the settlement lifecycle, maintaining accurate records, and supporting timely completion of settlements under the guidance of senior team members.
The position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and a foundational understanding of loan settlement processes. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, responsive, and eager to develop into a high-performing closer by building expertise in ClearPar, settlement workflows, and market conventions.

Roles And Responsibilities:

Support the execution and progression of loan trade settlements, ensuring trades are actively worked and updated through the settlement lifecycle
Utilize ClearPar to track trades, update settlement timelines, and maintain accurate status updates for assigned transactions
Monitor assigned trades and assist in following up with agent banks, counterparties, and internal teams to advance settlements
Maintain accurate and up-to-date trade records and settlement details across systems (e.g., ClearPar, internal platforms)
Assist with trade allocations, including supporting manual allocations where required
Track and help coordinate KYC/AML, tax documentation, and onboarding requirements, escalating missing items or delays
Support funding coordination efforts, including confirming settlement details and working with Treasury and internal teams to ensure readiness for settlement
Identify and escalate trade breaks or discrepancies, partnering with senior team members to resolve issues
Develop an understanding of settlement timelines, amendment impacts, and common causes of delayed settlement
Provide timely and accurate status updates to internal stakeholders, highlighting delays or risks
Adhere to established procedures, controls, and documentation standards to support audit and compliance requirements
Participate in team initiatives and training to build knowledge of loan settlement processes, ClearPar workflows, and market conventions

Primary Skill:

Bachelor's Degree required (Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or related field)
3-5 years of experience in financial services operations, with exposure to loan settlements, trade operations, or related functions preferred
Basic familiarity with ClearPar or similar operational platforms preferred
Foundational understanding of financial markets or syndicated loan products preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Demonstrated ability to follow structured processes and maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment

Secondary Skill:

Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external parties
Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in loan settlement processes
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and follow through on assigned tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business tools
Flexibility work in US shifts (18:30 to 3:30)
