Description
Reporting Development & Maintenance
· Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear oversight of key business metrics across the European division (e.g., sales performance, customer trends, stock, order processing and financial performance).
· Own the end-to-end reporting lifecycle — from requirements gathering and data modelling to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
· Ensure reports are accurate, performant, and aligned with business definitions and KPIs.
· Manage and update existing reporting assets as business needs evolve, including scheduled refreshes, data source changes, and version control.
Microsoft Fabric & Data Engineering
· Leverage Microsoft Fabric (including Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, and Warehouses) to build and manage scalable data pipelines that consolidate data from ERP, CRM, and other sources.
· Develop and maintain data models and semantic layers within Fabric to support self-service analytics across the division.
· Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all data assets within the Fabric environment.
· Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to optimize data architecture and integration patterns.
ERP Data Analysis (Prophet 21 / P21)
· Extract, transform, and analyze data from Prophet 21 (P21) to support reporting on order management, purchasing, inventory, pricing, and customer activity.
· Develop an understanding of P21 data structures, tables, and business logic to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
CRM Analytics (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
· Connect and integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM data to support pipeline reporting, customer activity tracking, account performance and sales metrics.
· Build CRM-driven dashboards that give sales and commercial leaders oversight of pipeline health, opportunity status and customer engagement across European markets.
· Maintain data integrity between CRM and ERP data sources to ensure a unified customer view.
Proactive Business Insights
· Go beyond delivering reports: proactively analyze trends, anomalies and patterns in business data, and present findings to the divisional head with clear context and recommended actions.
· Establish a regular rhythm of insight briefings (weekly, monthly, quarterly) aligned to the divisional head's strategic priorities.
· Spot early warning signs (e.g., declining customer segments, stock risk, revenue shortfalls) and flag them before they become material issues.
· Build forward-looking analyses including forecasting, trend modelling, and scenario planning to support executive decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement & Data Literacy
· Partner with European business leaders, finance, sales, and operations teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
· Serve as a trusted analytical advisor to the divisional head, providing context and narrative behind the numbers.
· Promote data literacy and self-service analytics across the European team by building intuitive, well-documented reports and providing training where needed.
· Document data definitions, metric logic, and report usage to ensure consistency and transparency.
Requirements
· 3–5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
· Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Pipelines, Dataflows, and Warehouses.
· Advanced Power BI skills, including data modeling, report design, and Power BI Service administration (workspaces, row-level security, scheduled refreshes).
· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, including reporting on sales pipelines, accounts, and customer activity.
· Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and querying across relational databases.
· Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear, executive-level insights and narratives.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in supporting multi-country or European business operations, including familiarity with regional reporting requirements (e.g., currency, VAT, regional KPIs).
· Familiarity with Microsoft Purview for data governance and cataloguing within Fabric.
· Knowledge of Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse) as complementary tools to Fabric.
· Exposure to forecasting models or predictive analytics within a business context.
· Experience working in a distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale industry environment.
· Familiarity with Power Automate for workflow automation tied to reporting and alerting.
