What you'll do...

About the Team:

The GIF DevOps team is responsible for the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of a Tier-0 global commerce platform supporting more than 5,000 stores across the US, Canada, Mexico, Myanmar, Chile, and Bodega markets.

The team owns critical platform and infrastructure services spanning Kubernetes, AKS, cloud networking, automation, observability, disaster recovery, and production readiness. We partner closely with engineering and product teams to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable solutions that power business-critical retail operations.

We are also driving the adoption of AI-powered automation and operational intelligence to improve platform reliability, accelerate incident resolution, and enhance engineering productivity.

What you'll do:

  • Implement AI-driven DevOps practices by using AI tools for intelligent monitoring, anomaly detection, log analysis, predictive issue identification, and automation.
  • Implement automation for repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, security checks, and deployment processes.
  • Manage cloud and infrastructure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and automation frameworks.
  • Monitor system health and performance using observability tools to ensure reliability, availability, and faster incident resolution.
  • Ensure security and compliance by integrating security scanning, vulnerability management, access controls, and policy automation.
  • Support application releases and operations through deployment management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to improve delivery speed, operational efficiency, and DevOps maturity.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field required.
  • Hands on experience in scripting:  Python, Golang, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Ansible, Ruby
  • Working knowledge of Generative AI concepts and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Experience designing, testing, and refining prompts for AI applications.
  • Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings, and AI workflows is a plus.
  • Experience integrating AI services into DevOps pipelines and automating AI application deployments.
  • Awareness of AI security, governance, and responsible AI practices.
  • Hands on experience with development of CI/CD pipelines, Linux, System Administration.
  • Hands on experience with Git, Artifactory or similar Maven repos, Jira, Splunk.
  • Hands on experience with configuring of build jobs in Jenkins or similar services
  • Hands on experience with Kubernetes
  • Hands on experience with Maven, Gradle, Node, Npm, Xcode Build, etc
  • Excellent team player with passion for collaboration.

Preferred skills:

  • Programming Languages: Python/Go and JAVA;
  • Monitoring Tools: Dynatrace, Medusa, and Grafana;
  • Cloud Technologies: AZPaaS, Hyperscale, MS Azure, GCP and Open Stack
  • Databases: AZPaas, Hyperscale, SQL Server, Oracle
  • Operating Systems: Linux, Cent OS and Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Web and App Servers: Apache and Tomcat;
  • Testing Tools: Apache J-Meter, Gatling;
  • Familiarity with AI monitoring, model versioning, and responsible AI practices
