Backend (Python+AI)

What You'll Do

• Build Core Infrastructure: Design and implement reliable backend systems in Python (FastAPI, GCP/AWS, Postgres), with a focus on scalability, performance, and developer ergonomics.

• Experiment with AI: Use GenAI tools, APIs, and frameworks to prototype and integrate intelligent features—from simple automations to complex workflows.

• Own What You Ship: Take projects end-to-date—from ideation and design to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.

• Work Closely with Leadership: Partner with the CTO to co-create product experiences that fuse backend muscle with AI magic.

• Bring Ideas to Life: Help turn wild ideas into working prototypes, and prototypes into production. You're not just building what's asked—you're helping invent what comes next.

• Python Expertise: You write clean, idiomatic Python and know your way around common backend frameworks, testing libraries, and deployment pipelines.
• Production-Ready Mindset: You've deployed systems in real-world environments and understand the nuances of stability, observability, and scaling. Docker, CI/CD, cloud infra (AWS/GCP)—you're comfortable getting things live and keeping them running.
• AI Curiosity: You've dabbled with LLMs, tinkered with GenAI tools, or built side projects using open-source models or APIs. (Got a weird AI bot or internal GPT tool you built? Tell us!). Bonus points if you've run local LLMs or fine-tuned models.
• High Ownership: You take initiative, follow through, and don't wait to be told what to do. You're comfortable with autonomy and accountability.
• Startup Energy: You like building fast, wearing multiple hats, and figuring things out on the fly.
• Product Mindset: You think in terms of user impact, not just code elegance. Bonus if you enjoy thinking about UX—even for backend services
