Summary

This role focuses on developing iOS and Android applications for automotive infotainment systems. The position is crucial for creating seamless connectivity and user-friendly interfaces between mobile devices and vehicle systems. The developer will work on integrating advanced features like navigation and media playback, ensuring robust communication and real-time data synchronization.

Responsibilities

- iOS Development (Swift Preferred)

• Design and implement iOS applications for automotive infotainment systems.

• Develop wireless connectivity solutions using various communication protocols.

• Build reliable network communication layers with fallback mechanisms.

• Implement real-time data synchronization between iOS devices and vehicle systems.

• Create intuitive user interfaces for vehicle control and monitoring.

• Debug complex networking and connectivity issues in automotive environments.

• Integrate Google Maps/MapmyIndia SDKs and APIs for navigation.

• Integrate MPNowPlayingInfoCenter and MediaPlayer for transport controls and metadata.

- Android Development (Kotlin)

• Develop Android infotainment applications for in-vehicle head units.

• Implement server-side connectivity for companion app communication.

• Build and maintain network services and APIs ensuring cross-platform protocol consistency.

• Develop route and search flows using Google Maps/Mappls/MapmyIndia SDK.

• Integrate media playback features using MediaPlayer and MPNowPlayingInfoCenter.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of iOS app development experience using Swift.

• 6+ months of Android development experience using Kotlin (or willingness to learn).

• Proven track record of developing and deploying apps to the App Store or Play Store.

• Hands-on experience in at least two of the following connectivity areas:

• Bluetooth Classic or BLE

• TCP/IP Socket Programming

• Wi-Fi Network Configuration

• HTTP Client/Server Development

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills related to network and connectivity issues.
