Job Description:

ROLE 1 -.NET Architect

2 Openings | 10–15 Years | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design & delivery of AI-integrated enterprise applications across Sterling's business units

• Drive Spec Driven Development (SDD) — structured AI task specs before code generation

• Design and maintain Agentic Harnesses — orchestration of AI agents, tool calls, memory, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints

• Architect Angular front-end portals + .NET Core APIs integrated with Azure OpenAI and Sterling's ERP systems

• Own CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps; enforce quality gates and release practices

• Lead and upskill a team of 3–4 mid/junior engineers

• Translate requirements from project managers, field ops, and finance stakeholders into scalable solutions

Required Skills:

• Angular (v12+) — TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, Angular Material

• .NET Core / ASP.NET Web API — C#, EF Core, clean architecture, microservices

• Azure — App Service, Azure SQL, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, AKS, DevOps Pipelines, IaC (Bicep/Terraform)

• AI Engineering (Mandatory):

  - Spec Driven Development: write structured specs defining inputs, outputs, constraints before LLM invocation

  - Agentic Harnesses: prompt chaining, tool call management, retry/fallback, short & long-term memory

  - Azure OpenAI (GPT-4o, embeddings), Azure AI Search / RAG, Copilot SDK / Semantic Kernel

  - LLM Ops: prompt versioning, eval frameworks, token cost management, production monitoring

  - AI-augmented SDLC: disciplined use of GitHub Copilot / Cursor within a spec-first workflow

• Team leadership — 4–8 engineers, Agile/Scrum, outcome-based delivery

Good to Have:

• Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-400, AZ-305, AI-102)

• Construction ERP exposure (Procore, Viewpoint, CMiC, SAP)

• LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or multi-agent frameworks

• Power BI embedded / Power Platform / Copilot Studio

ROLE 2 — Software Engineer (Mid-Level)

3–4 Openings | 2–6 Years | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Angular front-end features and .NET Core API services

• Develop UIs for project dashboards, subcontractor workflows, safety reporting, and executive analytics

• Integrate Azure services and third-party APIs (ERP connectors, document storage, notifications)

• Support CI/CD operations on Azure DevOps; write and maintain unit/integration tests

• Learn and apply AI integration patterns (Azure OpenAI, Copilot SDK) under lead guidance

• Participate in Agile ceremonies — sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives

Required Skills:

• Angular (v10+) — TypeScript, HTML5, SCSS; data-heavy UIs (tables, charts, forms, workflows)

• .NET Core / ASP.NET Web API — C#, REST APIs, EF Core, SQL Server / PostgreSQL

• Azure basics — deploying web apps, Git workflows, CI/CD awareness

• AI Engineering (Calibrated for 2–6 yrs):

  - SDD familiarity — ability to follow and contribute to structured AI task specs with guidance

  - Agentic patterns awareness — can work within an existing harness; no independent design required

  - Azure OpenAI / Copilot SDK exposure — can implement AI features from a defined spec

  - AI-augmented SDLC — active Copilot/Cursor user; open to coaching on spec-first workflow

Good to Have:

• Procore, Viewpoint, or Autodesk Construction Cloud familiarity

• Power BI embedded / dashboarding tools

• Docker basics; Jasmine/Karma or xUnit/NUnit testing experience

• LangChain or Semantic Kernel awareness
