Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Load / Performance Tester to validate system performance, scalability, and high availability under production-like conditions. The role involves designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests across APIs, micro services, databases, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute load, stress, spike, soak, scalability, and HA tests
• Develop performance test scripts using Locust (Python-based) or equivalent tools
• Perform API performance testing (REST/GraphQL) including authentication, rate limiting, and caching
• Validate horizontal scaling and auto-scaling (Kubernetes HPA, node pools)
• Conduct long-duration soak testing (24–48 hours) to identify memory leaks and resources exhaustion
• Perform high availability and failover testing (pod failure, service restart, DB failover)
• Monitor system metrics: response time (P95), throughput (RPS), error rates, CPU/memory, DB latency
• Analyze test results and prepare performance reports with recommendations
• Work closely with developers, DevOps, and architects to resolve performance bottlenecks

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Load & Performance Testing
• Hands-on with Locust (preferred) or JMeter / Gatling
• Solid understanding of API performance testing
• Experience with Cloud platforms (GCP / AWS / Azure)
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, GKE/EKS/AKS, Load Balancers
• Database performance testing experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Cloud Monitoring)
• Strong analytical and reporting skills

Good to Have

• Experience testing microservices and distributed systems
• CI/CD integration of performance tests
• Understanding of caching strategies and message queues
• Scripting knowledge in Python
